Q. Can I order an item that is on your website, that is marked sold?
A. Plush (fake fur) animals usually will look the same each time I make them, but animals made of other fabrics will look slightly different,
depending upon sculpturing, face details and fabrics on hand. FOR DOLLS a size and a style can be made similar, but end products will
never
be exactly the same. That is why it is one of a kind!
Q. How long does it take to make a doll?
A. Consider that an average 20" flat doll takes over 2,000 stitches to make. Add time for fabric hunt, cutting, sewing, and pressing seams. Now add
time for face details, possibly sculpturing and hair. Now you have a naked doll, so more time is needed for clothing too. A 36" sculptured grandma
doll takes almost 2 weeks to complete, but a 12" flat doll might take only one evening. Every item I make is different,
so time varies.
Q. Do you make other animals besides the ones you show on your website?
A. Yes, I have a very extensive library of patterns and I can probably come up with the animal you're looking for.
Q. How do I wash my doll or animal?
A. Each item sold has a permanently attached label. In general, I recommend that stuffed animals be tied into a pillow case before machine washing
or drying to protect joints and limbs from excessive stress and to keep eyes and noses from getting scratched inside the machine. Some dolls are only surface washable, some can be handwashed and others can be put in a pillow case and washed on gentle in a machine. All fabric can be cleaned, however
the stuffing, sculpturing and type of hair would make a difference in specific care instructions. If you are concerned about care instructions on any item,
do not hesitate to e-mail me. I have seen some of my stuffed animals that are fifteen
years old, still looking great!
